This is another strip that would have had Dr. Wertham asking, "...but what does that mean exactly?" It must have been very satisfying for Fred to know that the editorial and business side of the company had the sense of humour to support strips like this one.
Fred also notes that this strip is inker- extraordinare Terry Austin's favorite, which I think tells us more about Terry than I really wanted to know.
Although his Popeye fetish seems a little more acceptable now.
